Human Hair WigWhat’s wrong with processed hair in a human hair wig?

The natural hair on your head is not processed and only unprocessed human hair can look truly natural. Under a microscope, natural hair looks much like a plastic tie, with little teeth like structures all facing in one direction. These microscopic teeth like structures keep the hair soft and natural looking.

They are also the reason why it is extremely critical to place all the roots of natural unprocessed hair facing in one direction, towards the foundation of the wig. Though microscopic, those teeth when placed in opposite directions matte up and ruin the look of the wig.

It’s a lot of work to make sure all the roots face the base of the wig and it takes well trained experts to make sure the hair faces the right way. The short cut around this is to process the hair. That means putting the hair through a chemical stripping agent that removes those beautiful microscopic structures.

This chemical strip process also weakens the hair and diminishes the natural look and feel of the hair. At Claire / Accuhair, we know better than to destroy the beauty and feel of unprocessed hair.
